Arrest made in Terminal Park liquor store robbery

A 20-year-old Nanaimo man is in custody and police are recommending numerous charges. The man was arrested on Sunday, February 8 in connection with a robbery at the Terminal Park liquor store on January 10.

His name won’t be released until charges have been formally sworn.

Along with Robbery charges, Police are recommending Aggravated Assault charges related to an incident of domestic violence on Sunday. The victim required emergency surgery after suffering facial injuries.

Investigators are also recommending charges of Break and Enter with Intent, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon dating back to a home invasion on Holly Ave on January 31.

Police have evidence to back up the charges after searching two locations in the past two days, including the man’s home in central Nanaimo.
