Comox Valley MLA Don McRae has resigned from cabinet but Vancouver Island will still have a voice on the front benches.
Parksville-Qualicum MLA Michelle Stilwell will replace McRae as Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation.
Stilwell says it’ll be a challenging role but she’s looking forward to the opportunity to help British Columbians.
Stilwell will be sworn in on Monday. Her new cabinet position means she’ll be leaving her other roles behind.
Meanwhile, McRae will stay on as an MLA. He decided to step down from cabinet to support a family health facing some health concerns.
