Nanaimo RCMP say they had to call in the Emergency Response Team Sunday, after a man barricaded himself inside a home.
Sgt Cam Muir says the standoff happened in the 2100 block of Salmon Road, after police were called out for a domestic disturbance complaint around 11:00am.
Police are continuing their investigation, which includes allegations of assault against the man, who’s in his 30s.
