Canada wide warrant issued for sex assault suspect from Sechelt

A 33 year old Sechelt man is wanted by police and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for him.

He is Asif Choudhry, but also goes by the name of Brandon.

York Regional Police say back on Thursday, June 8th, it’s alleged Choudhry
met with an 18-year-old escort at a hotel.

He told the woman he was a police officer and showed a document claiming that he was executing a warrant.

He then sexually assaulted the victim and left some money.

Police believe the suspect committed similar offences in other provinces.

Choudhry is facing charges that include sex assault with a firearm and forcible confinement.
