Public engagement needed to improve Coopers Green Park

Halfmoon Bay is a popular destination, and the Sunshine Coast Regional District wants insight on projects being offered to enhance the overall experience.

They say the area offers many unique opportunities for gatherings, recreation, and amazing views and the enhancement projects currently underway will improve everyone’s experience but there are still questions they need answered.

A short survey is offered by the district which they say will only take a short amount of time and will encompass questions on Coopers Green Park and what residents would like to see done with it.

Two features in the area that are not in the scope of the project include the boat ramp and the hall, but the district says there are already considerations being considered for these areas.

“A separate project is set to get underway for upgrades to the boat ramp and the SCRD is currently in negotiations with a third party on the operations of the hall,” they say.

The questionnaire can be located on their website and will be open until Dec. 10.
