Sunshine Coast School District welcomes new faces 

School District 46 has announced some leadership changes coming up for the next academic year.  

They say four new faces will be joining the team, four people will be reassigned, and they will also be celebrating the retirement of three members of the academic staff.  

The district says they’re extending a warm welcome to the newcomers in the 2024/25 school year. 

According to a media release, Jean Janzen will be taking the role as principal at Davis Bay Elementary, where she will replace Rae-dene Pednaud who will be moved to Pender Harbour Elementary.

Meg Chamberlin will be joining the team as vice-principal at Chatelech Secondaryka, where she will replace Paula Stroshein-Martinez as she ascends to the role of principal.

Whitney de Beer will take the role as vice-principal at Kinnikinnic Elementary, creating of a new leadership position.

Hilary Watt is scheduled to succeed Jeff Marshall as the vice-principal at Elphinstone Secondary.

The district says they’re wishing everyone luck in their new role and is thanking the retiring staff for their years of dedication and service to School District 46.
