Students in school district 46 will welcome some new faces to their schools but will also be saying goodbye to a few old ones when they start school in September.
At Cedar Grove Elementary, Jennifer MacInnes will become the principal from September to December to replace Lia Currurllo since she left for maternity leave.
MacInnes took over for James Sadler at Cedar Grove for the first part of Currurllo’s leave.
Nicole Zilkie will be stepping into her new role as principal of Madeira Park Elementary as Sady Magnussen takes a temporary leave from the school.
The district also has announced the retirement of Phil Luporini from his position as district principal of technology and data integration.
The district says they are confident these changes will continue to provide unwavering support to their community and strengthen the community, staff, students, and learning environment for school district 46.
