The Georgia Greenway will officially open in conjunction with the start of Nanaimo Earth Day celebrations tomorrow (April 27).
Phase 1 of the Georgia Greenway is a new point 5 kilometre multi-use trail through Harewood Centennial Park connecting Sixth Street and Seventh Street, and it includes a new pedestrian and cycling bridge over the Chase River.
The project includes new LED trailway lighting and safety enhancements.
The project cost just over one point 3 million dollars.
