A zoning amendment for the Bowser Village will allow for a new seniors housing project to proceed.
Zoning on the parcel where the Bowser Seniors Housing Society is located was approved in December of 2018 but the bylaw required the housing facility be connected to the soon-to-be constructed community sewer system.
But that qualification no longer applied because the Sewer Servicing Project didn’t proceed as planned.
The zoning change will allow the seniors housing facility to use an on-site wastewater disposal system.
The Bowser Seniors Housing Society has been working to develop much-needed seniors housing in the Bowser area for several years now.
