Rick Craig, resident and retired law educator is the newly minted president.
He says there are about 32 properties around the Lake and many of them are only occupied part time but they share some common issues.
“One is we have been dealing with forestry because the lake levels were very high and we were just trying to make sure there was an area where the lake drains, there are beavers on the lake and so they were responding to that. We are going to be organizing some educationals, one of them is a common concern, it’s a very dense area up there and there’s always a fear around fires and how we can protect ourselves better.”
Craig says the group plans to hold an AGM sometime in July along with some sort of social event.
At the moment, he says they are communicating via [email protected] and there are plans for a newsletter.
A web page or social media of some sort may be a consideration down the line.
