The 52nd annual bathtub race is taking place in Nanaimo this weekend.
Kevan Shaw says leading up to the big race, the public is invited to enjoy a free Victoria Crescent Street Fair in downtown Nanaimo on Saturday.
Fireworks, a parade and many other activities are organized for the weekend as well.
On Sunday, the race will start and end in the Nanaimo Harbour. The race starts at 11 then the finishes line is below the Frank Ney statue at Maffeo Sutton Park.
