It’s official. Pacific Ferries is no longer offering commuter sailings to and from Gibsons.
The company who offered services to the Sunshine Coast for more than two years cancelled their morning sailings leaving from Gibsons earlier in this year.
And now the evening sailings going from Vancouver to Gibsons will also be put on hold until further notice.
Owner Joe Shaker says the demand for the service simply wasn’t there.
Shaker says if they can find more people who are committed to using their ferries to go from Vancouver to Gibsons or vice versa, then they’ll gladly bring back these commuter runs.
You’ll still see Pacific Ferries this year as they’ll be making stops on Bowen Island and Gibsons for their island hopping tours.
