Elphinstone Logging Focus (ELF) is raising their concerns about logging related activities in Roberts Creek.
ELF spokesperson Ross Muirhead says they’ve filed a complaint with the Managed Forest Council about Surespan’s activities on the privately managed forest in the Chapman watershed.
He adds, they recently visited the area where the logging was taking place and weren’t happy with what they saw.
Muirhead says they’re waiting to hear back from the Managed Forest Council, who oversees the regulations for logging on private lands.
And he says he hasn’t heard back from the council and expects the process to take a little bit.
