The District of Sechelt and the Town of Gibsons were both successful in obtaining a grant from BC Hydro.
District Parks Manager Perrtgy Schmitt says they’ll be using the $5500 grant to continue on with their “adopt a tree” program that has planted nearly 500 trees in the community.
Once you adopt the tree you’ll also be responsible for watering it for the next couple years.
The town of Gibsons intends to use that grant to buy more tree for Holland Park.
