Powell River-Sunshine Coast MLA Nic Simons believes Alberta’s Premier is in the wrong.
This comes after Rachel Notley announced Alberta will be boycotting British Columbian wine in response to the growing tensions over the Kinder Morgan pipeline project.
Simons says B.C’s stance on the pipeline is nothing personal against Albertans and he believes our wine industry will be just fine.
Simons says in Canada we have better ways to settle disputes.
The MLA for Nanaimo North Cowichan says Rachel Notley is jumping the gun with her boycott of BC wine.
Doug Routley says the NDP only announced a review of the pipeline project which the party is entitled to do and her reaction is premature…..
Nanaimo MLA Leonard Krog says each province is fully within their rights to defend their interests, however, Notley’s intentions are misplaced…..
According to Notley, Alberta imports about 17 million bottles of wine worth 70 million dollars annually from wineries in B.C.
