Vancouver Coastal Health is looking to test for radon in schools on the Sunshine Coast.
Randon, according to VCH is the second leading cause of lung cancer, after smoking.
Dr. Geoff McKee says although they don’t suspect there is a radon issue in the community they want to be safe.
McKee is encouraging everyone to test for radon in their homes this winter as the gas can be found anywhere.
