The Absentee ballots are still being counted but the Powell River-Sunshine Coast riding is complete.
In all, 26,913 votes were counted and NDP Nicholas Simons won with 13,646 votes and gained 50 per cent of the popular vote.
The count for Nanaimo is also complete.
New Democrat Leonard Krog had 12,746 votes and gained 46 per cent of the popular votes.
Elections BC is still counting the Courtenay-Comox riding, which will likely determine whether we have a majority or minority government.
