Dog owners on the Sunshine Coast will soon be able to take their dogs to the Shirley Macey park and let them run free.
Carolyn Carolyn Mortensen with the SCRD says this will be the first designated off-leash dog park on the coast.
They are having a grand opening for the park next Saturday and they’ll be there from 11 to 3.
A fundraiser will also be taking place at the grand opening and donations will go to the SPCA and help the dogs that were displaced during the Fort McMurray fire.
