Funds collected by the Red Cross are beginning to be distributed to the residents of Fort McMurray.
Emergency funding from the Province of Alberta is also being distributed.
Fort McMurray residents Chris and Stacey lost their home in the fire and came to Vancouver Island to stay with family.
Stacey says they are thankful for the support from islanders.
