There’s a constant complaint about driving on highway 101, and it’s that people tend to drive below the speed limit.
Although, it is advised motorists slow down overall, depending on the weather conditions, the RCMP say it’s illegal to drive below the posted speed limit.
Constable Gary O’Brien says it can also lead to an accident.
He also advised, if motorists want to drive slower than the posted speed limit they can pull over and use their emergency flashers, to let others pass. Or they can take a secondary road if they want to drive at a slower rate.
