Not everyone happy with plan, as deadline for VIAHA respect course nears

Not everybody is happy about taking the online respect workshop demanded by the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association.

Parents have until the end of the month to prove they’ve taken the 12 dollar course.

We caught up with a couple of hockey moms who are questioning the value.


The are more than 300 parents with children in a VIAHA hockey program.

The Association made the workshop mandatory as a part of a larger effort to prevent abuse incidents at the rinks, after having to deal with a handful last season.
