Nanaimo’s 29th annual BookFest is today.
Organizer Melanie Godel says it’s a fantastic chance for book-crazy kids to connect with authors and illustrators.
Godel says their BookFest guests this year includes 4-time B.C. Book Prize finalist John Wilson, Vikki VanSickle, national bestselling author Robert (Lucky) Budd and Terri Mack.
For $10, kids can pick three sessions happening throughout the day at the VICC and the Art Gallery. Tickets are on sale at the Port Theatre.
There will also be activities and musical entertainment in Diana Krall Plaza. Bookfest runs from 10am -3pm.
