Gibsons Council is ready to finalize the 2015 budget, and the cupboard is looking pretty bare.
Mayor Wayne Rowe says one of the things that won’t make the cut is hundreds of thousands of dollars in road repairs.
Rowe says the overall 5 per cent tax increase will only bring in about 100 thousand dollars.
If the budget passes as is, it will break down into a 6.25 per cent increase on residential properties and 3.46 per cent on commercial properties.
