Sunshine Coast RCMP have released more details about the weekend arrest of two wanted men in Salmon Inlet.
The men were also suspects in break-ins both on the Ragged Islands and Sechelt Inlet, and police now say they were believed to be armed, because guns were reported stolen from at least one break-in.
Sergeant Steve Chubey of the Sunshine Coast RCMP says as a result they called in Lower Mainland ERT and police dog services.
22 year-old Travis Paradon-Netzlaw and 27 year-old James Graham were arrested near Misery Bay after being tracked by the police dog. One suffered minor injuries during the arrest and was taken to Sechelt Hospital.
The warrants for the men came out of Vancouver and were for:Â Theft over $5000, possession of stolen property, mischief, break and enter, and auto theft
Sunshine Coast RCMP are investigating them as suspects in several other property and firearms-related offenses.
