Nanaimo’s Harbourfront library branch is getting a makeover.
VIRL’s Natasha Bartlett says along with a complete facelift including new paint, fixtures and furniture, they’ll be turning the second floor into a “Creativity Commons”.
That’s going to include a genealogy area, public computer lab, mobile media kits, DIY programs lead by staff and a book publishing machine.
Bartlett says the renovations will start this spring.
Bartlett says the library will be reopened by the fall.
She says anyone with questions about the project can check out the FAQ on their website – virl.bc.ca
