Vancouver Coastal Health is looking to get as many as 125 new residential care beds on the Sunshine Coast… either through a new facility, or expanding an existing one.
And it seems both Sechelt and Gibsons would like it to happen in their backyards.
Wednesday night Sechelt Council endorsed the idea of asking VCH to make Sechelt the favoured location.

At this point VCH is just collecting proposals, and a decision is likely some time away.
