The people who run the winter shelter for the homeless on the Sunshine Coast are gearing up for a major fundraiser…
The shelter, at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Sechelt, has been hosting around 9 people a night.
Brenda Wilkinson is the shelter coordinator. She says community fundraising is key to getting the money they need from the provincial and federal governments. Â The goal is to bring in enough money to the shelter open every night until March 31st.
