As a government sponsored LNG seminar continues in Nanaimo, a group on the Sunshine Coast is hoping to open a dialogue on LNG, tankers and pipelines with an event Wednesday in Sechelt.
Kathy Archibald is one of the organizers. She says they’re bringing together 4 speakers, with different viewpoints, and she’s hoping for an audience to match.
Archibald says the goal isn’t necessarily to change people’s minds, but to send them away with a better understanding of opposing views to promote informed debate.
The event is January 14th from 7pm to 8:30pm at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Sechelt. The featured speakers are Dr. Eoin Finn, Jef Keighley, Lois Boxill, and Richard Hergesheimer. You can see their bios here: LNG Dialogue Speakers
