Nanaimo’s new Mayor says exciting things are in store for 2015, but first they have to get down to the business of training the City’s new Councillors.
Mayor Bill McKay says special orientation sessions will bring the five new members up to speed.
McKay says issues like the Colliery Dams will be at the top of the agenda when council gets down to business, along with the budget.
And he says the biggest challenge will be getting community input, to make sure Council follows a path the public supports.
