Canoe racing, soccer, basketball tournaments planned for Snuneymuxw Days

The Snuneymuxw First Nation says everyone in the community is invited to the annual Snuneymuxw Days celebration next week.

From July 24 to 26, the community will gather along Shoreline Drive for games, food trucks, a market and music.

The event will include war canoe races starting Friday, a kids’ zone with bouncy castles, snacks and face painting, along with soccer and basketball tournaments.

A jam night is planned for Friday starting at 5 p.m. at the Snuneymuxw Longhouse. People are encouraged to bring their drums and songs.

A full schedule of events can be found on Snuneymuxw’s website.
