Ladysmith celebrates opening new pickleball courts

Ladysmith will celebrate the opening of new pickleball courts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony next week.

The town said it has completed the second phase of the Lot 108 implementation plan, which includes the new courts at 1337 4th Ave.

“These upgrades mark a major milestone in realizing Ladysmith’s long-term vision for a vibrant, inclusive and multi-use community park at Forrest Field,” Mayor Deena Beeston said. “We look forward to celebrating this significant achievement with the community.”

The pickleball courts and outdoor fitness area are already open for use. The town said the bike park and perimeter trail will open in the coming weeks.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for June 30 at 11 a.m.
