Nanaimo police investigating after man found with serious injuries on Nicol Street

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking witnesses who may be able to help investigators determine how a man suffered serious injuries in a parking lot on Nicol Street.

Police said the man was found injured at about 10:20 p.m. on June 4 in the parking lot at 190 Nicol St.

According to RCMP, the man was unable to explain how he was injured.

“Officers searched the surrounding area and there was evidence that the victim had been in the 200 block of Victoria Road. However, the circumstances of how he received his injuries remain unknown. The injured man was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.”

Police are asking anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line.
