Parksville to implement Level 2 water restrictions May 1

The return of hot and dry weather is prompting the City of Parksville to implement restrictions on outdoor water use.

The city said Level 2 water conservation measures begin May 1.

Under the restrictions, odd-numbered addresses may water on odd-numbered days while even-numbered addresses may water on even-numbered days between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. or between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Vegetable gardens and fruit trees are exempt from the restrictions.

Residents can learn more about water conservation by visiting the city’s Let’s Talk Parksville website.
