Galley smoke delays ferry crossing

Ferry service along the Duke Point to Tsawwassen route has been delayed after crews detected smoke in the galley.

According to BC Ferries, the vessel is being held at the dock until an investigation is completed because of the smoke and the 3:15 sailing was delayed.

They say service will resume as soon as the problem is resolved.

BC Ferries says in a statement, they apologize for any inconvenience and they’re working hard to remedy the situation.
