BC Transit says a fare review has suggested changes to pricing will help improve ridership across the Regional District of Nanaimo and riders can see them implemented next month.
According to BC Transit, the last fare review was conducted in 2016 and with the cost of operating transit on the rise, as well as demand for service, changing the price is one way of supporting the RDN’s ability to improve and expand on service already in place.
Price points will be reflected on all routes including local services, interregional, and handyDART transit, and depending on the route and type of fare will determine if your cost has gone up or down.
