The province says they’re opening discussions and hoping to engage residents on the dock management plan between the government and the shishalh Nation this month.
Two sessions will be held virtually starting Mar. 20, and the province says it’s going to summarize key elements of the Foundation Agreement renewal and outline the next steps as they move to implement the agreement.
According to the province, the sessions will include representatives from the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, and the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship to provide details into the agreement.
“It will provide details about the Foundation Agreement renewal, how it relates to the shishalh swiya Dock Management Plan and what it means for residents of the Sunshine Coast,” they say. “Members of the public are encouraged to share their comments and questions about the agreement.”
Both sessions will be virtual and will be held on Mar. 20 and 31.
