A watermain break near the corner of Francis Peninsula Road, Murdoch Road and Beaver Road in Pender Harbour kept work crews from the Sunshine Coast Regional District busy on Tuesday.
The broken water line affected water service for approximately 300 homes in the area.
The system lost pressure and affected residents may notice some sediment in their water.
The SCRD says they should run water from an outside faucet or a bathtub before using an indoor sink, and run the water until it is completely clear.
The sediment that may be in the water could block an aerator on an indoor tap.
