Kenyon Creek repairs complete after Sunshine Coast storm damage

Roads on the Sunshine Coast that were washed out during 2021’s atmospheric river event are still being repaired, but work at Kenyon Creek has finally been completed.

Temporary fixes have been in place since then and now, according to Transport BC, the construction at Kenyon Creek is complete. Construction at Day Road and Flume Creek will be completed by November 2025. Permanent construction repairs for all sites began in summer 2024.

The damage was caused by a heavy three-day rainstorm in November 2021 known as an atmospheric river event, which caused extensive damage to highway infrastructure.
