A fake bill has been turned over to the Sunshine Coast RCMP, and police say retailers in the region should now be very cautious when accepting cash.
According to a media release, a counterfeit bill was presented at a gas station in Gibsons and after the clerk determined it was fake he held it for police.
Police say if the bill appears to be fake or doesn’t feel right, they should be cautious and not accept it.
