Constable Gary O’Brien says an RCMP member came across the fire and assisted with the prompt response.
“One of our members was on patrol and called fire crews. They were on scene quickly. Because they got there so quickly the fire was contained to the outside of the building but did cause extensive damage.”
He adds that RCMP is actively investigating the fire.
“It’s obviously an external source this makes it considered to be suspicious.”
RCMP is looking for any CCTV footage and is asking anyone with information on the fire to contact their non-emergency line.
