The Sunshine Coast RCMP is asking for public assistance as it investigates an indecent act near a trailhead off Shaw Road in Gibsons.
At approximately 6 pm on Tuesday, two 12-year-old girls were on the trail to the west of Shaw Road at O’Shea Road near Christenson Village when a man pulled down his pants and exposed himself.
The RCMP says there may have been another man walking his dog into the trail as the girls exited and he may have noticed a suspicious person in the area.
The police are also asking anyone who observed anything suspicious or has home security cameras or a dash cam that would have captured anyone walking in the area to contact them.
The suspect is in his 40’s, Caucasian, very slim build, tanned skin, short brown hair, wearing sunglasses and a grey tracksuit.
