The Sunshine Coast Regional District says they have opened two virtual sessions for residents to ask questions about projects in the 2024 budget.
This round of public engagement meetings is designed to bring forward any projects that weren’t approved during the first round. The SCRD says they will make a final decision as to whether leftover projects will be incorporated into the financial plan.
The district says two meetings are scheduled to be held on Zoom on Jan 22, and Jan. 24 at 6:00 p.m., and will be streamed on YouTube for maximum engagement.
Projects the SCRD has planned for 2024 are solid waste, recreation, parks, fire departments, water, and staffing and will also include more information on potential taxation implications.
