Nanaimo RCMP are investigating a serious single-vehicle crash over the weekend near Nanaimo Lakes.
Police attended the scene around 9 am on Saturday the 16th along Nanaimo River Road just west of the city.
Two individuals were confirmed deceased at the scene, prompting the involvement of the Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service and the BC Coroner Service.
Nanaimo River Road will be closed at Deadwood Campground while the investigation continues and there is no alternative route.
At this time no foul play is suspected.
