This is a big weekend for the Sunshine Coast, on the water and on the streets.
Paddlers are gathering in Gibsons for the 13th International Howe Sound Outrigger Race.
Donna Harrison is the Race Director. She says this is going to be a big year, and the racing includes the National Championship “Iron” event for the Canadian Outrigger Racing Association.
On the roads, it’s the annual Sleepy Hollow Rod Run and Show N’ Shine in Sechelt.
Greg Falls of the Coasters Car Club says the event just keeps getting bigger and it’s now a “must do” on the calenders of car enthusiasts
The weekend is capped off by the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Association “Summer Showdown” Sunday at the Sechelt Airport.
