The owners of a start-up micro-brewery in Nanaimo have suffered a setback thanks to thieves.
The Nanaimo RCMP is reporting sometime overnight last Thursday thieves broke into the Cliffside Brewing Company, on Cliff Street.
One of the owners reported to police it appears suspects forced their way in through a side door.
Besides stealing their brewing equipment and power tools, thieves also made off with their video surveillance camera.
The owner told police some of the equipment hadn’t even been used yet and before the break in the company was about four months from opening.
Mounties say a couple of days after reporting the break-in, a few of the power tools were recovered in downtown Nanaimo but the valued brewing equipment and all of the other tools are still missing.
If anyone has information on these stolen items or on who is responsible for the Break and Enter, call the Nanaimo RCMP 250-754-2345.
