Back yard burning is currently not allowed in Egmont, Halfmoon Bay, Roberts Creek, Elphinstone, West Howe Sound, and Gibsons.
According to the Sunshine Coast, Regional District campfires are allowed until they are banned by local fire departments during high-risk periods.
Sechelt or Pender Harbour residents should call their local fire department for outdoor burning regulations in their area.
Residents are reminded they can haul and drop off green waste, at no charge to the Town of Gibsons Public Works Yard on Henry Road or to the Pender Harbour Transfer Station on Garden Bay Road, or to Salish Soils in Sechelt.
