The Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities is partnering with seven regional districts in launching the Recycle Right at Home campaign.
This campaign provides information on how to recycle responsibly at home and make waste reduction a reality.
Solid Waste Technician Chloe Boyle said it’s important to have regional districts all over Vancouver Island and on the Sunshine Coast on board with the program because people travel throughout the region.
“We recognize that there are residents that move across the region, so people might live in Victoria but come up north in the summertime. We want to make sure those people are recycling things properly.”
The Regional District of Nanaimo and the Sunshine Coast Regional District are participating in the campaign.
