RCMP are investigating a couple of thefts related to boating.
They are looking for a missing sailboat.
Kris Taylor confirms he reported his sailboat missing from its mooring off Dunham Road at Port Mellon.
“It could have been the storm, could have been somebody stole it, could have been somebody untied it.”
The sailboat is described as a white 26-footer with the name “Misty” and letters “RVYC” on the rear.
At the same time, police are reporting someone stole an outboard motor off a boat that had been stored in the 7100 block of Old School Trail in Egmont.
The 2017 15-horsepower outboard motor belongs to the local volunteer fire department.
