District of Sechelt launches survey

The District of Sechelt has always worked diligently to communicate with and involve citizens in decisions.

That’s according to Communications Manager, Julie Rogers who has launched a survey to find out what topics people want to participate in and how people want to have those conversations.

“We come up with things that we think are really important and want to engage the community so we do an online survey or we have an open house. But, we have never actually gone out and said did the online survey work for you? Did you enjoy the open house? Only five people showed up to the open house.”

Rogers said the survey is only ten questions and it asks what kinds of topics residents might be interested in and how they want to participate in the conversation.

Rogers said she will compile the results of the survey and create strategies and tools that will best meet the public’s needs and preferences when it comes to conversations with the District.
