The Sunshine Coast School District is in the midst of preparing a new strategic plan.
That’s something boards, districts and municipalities might do following an election to ensure they are all going in the same direction.
Superintendent of the District, Patrick Bocking said he’s been consulting with parent groups, staff, and children in the District.
They have been asking two questions:Â “What is your experience with education and how is that influencing you as a person” and “What do you believe are the next steps the District should take to provide an excellent education for every one of its students”.
Bocking said one of the recent consultations he participated in was with students who wanted more information about mortgages, credit cards and how to talk to your boss.
Bocking expects the consultations will be finished sometime this week and then all the information will be boiled down and prepared for the trustees during the months of March, April and May.
Bocking figures the document should be ready for publication sometime this Summer.
Anyone still wanting to participate can do so through a link on the District’s site.
